Waiting for the Sleeping OneSomething 'neath the ocean sleeping
stirs softly at the end,
soon he'll stray from heaven's keeping
and our world apart will rend.

The rivers running brightest red,
the fields beneath the waves
Clogged thickly by the newly dead
no soul from hell he saves.

But drives them swiftly down,
no mercy for his prey.
In blood and flesh we all will drown
Before the come of day

To god we weep, our prayers lost
amongst the caustic flames
In tall heaps our bodies tossed,
Our very hearts he shames.

When the earth is scorched and bare
He'll lay back down to rest
and up to god he'll coldly stare

Art History final project in progress. We needed to do a recreation either of or in the style of an artwork or artist that inspires us. So I'm doing Jacques-Louis David's "Napoleon Crossing the Saint-Bernard". The deviation title wouldn't allow the full name, so I settled with Alps.

I went in to erase the smudges, but the scanner picked up all that I missed. Work in progress though, so you'll see the finished in possibly a week or two.
